Cookie Policy

MortgagePath uses a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep the site working. Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Meta/Facebook pixel) cookies only load after you accept them.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site functioning — for example, remembering your form progress and your cookie preferences. They cannot be turned off.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WGWT44HQSP) to understand aggregated, anonymised usage of MortgagePath. IP anonymisation is enabled. No data is sent to Google before you accept. Google may set its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) once analytics is enabled. Google may process this data outside the UK (in the United States); see our Privacy Policy for details of international transfers.

Advertising (Meta/Facebook pixel)

If you accept, we load the Meta (Facebook) pixel (ID 1102887875460052) to measure how well our advertising works — for example, whether a visitor who clicked one of our adverts went on to request a survey or conveyancing quote. We have switched off Meta's automatic data collection and advanced matching, so we never send Meta your name, email, phone number, address, financial figures or any form contents — only an anonymous event. Meta may set its own cookies (_fbp, _fbc) once advertising is enabled and may process data outside the UK (in the United States); see our Privacy Policy for details of international transfers. No data is sent to Meta before you accept.

Nothing loads before consent

No non-essential analytics or advertising scripts run until you click 'Accept cookies'. Choosing 'Reject non-essential' means only strictly-necessary cookies are used, and neither Google Analytics nor the Meta pixel is loaded. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer.

Changing your choice

Your preference is stored locally in your browser. To change or withdraw it at any time, use the 'Cookie settings' link in the site footer to reopen the consent controls — withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and the Meta pixel and removes their scripts.

Opting out of Google Analytics

You can also install Google's official Analytics Opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to block Google Analytics on every site you visit.
