No. MortgagePath is an educational website. We are not a broker, lender, comparison site, or regulated advice service. If you would like regulated mortgage advice, MortgagePath offers an optional link to our broker partner. You will leave MortgagePath and deal directly with the broker — MortgagePath does not transfer your Mortgage Snapshot or any personal details to the broker through this link.

Does using MortgagePath affect my credit score?

No. We don't perform credit checks. Our Snapshot and calculator use only what you tell us — there is no impact on your credit file.

Is the Snapshot regulated mortgage advice?

No. The Snapshot is an educational summary of the kinds of figures lenders typically look at. It is not a recommendation, an offer, or regulated advice.

Do you receive commission?

Where you follow our optional link to our broker partner and take out a mortgage through them, MortgagePath may receive a commission from that broker — this does not increase what you pay. If you request a conveyancing or survey quote and proceed with our partner, MortgagePath may receive a referral fee. These arrangements are clearly disclosed and don't affect the educational information we provide.

Can you guarantee mortgage approval?

No. Nobody can. Lending decisions sit with the lender after full underwriting. We help you understand the landscape — not promise outcomes.

Is the Snapshot free?

Yes. The Snapshot, calculator and guides are all free to use.

What data do you store?

For the Snapshot we store the figures you enter, your email and your consent choices. If you submit a conveyancing or survey quote request, we also store the details you provide on that form — such as your name, contact details, the property address and your lead reference number. Do you share my details with conveyancing or survey partners?

Only if you complete a quote request and give consent at the final confirmation step. At that point, we clearly name the specific provider that will receive your details before you submit. MortgagePath may receive a referral fee if you choose to proceed.

How do you use my email?

Accepted Answer

We email your Snapshot results to you. If you submit a conveyancing or survey quote request, the details you provide are passed to the relevant partner so they can contact you. We do not pass your details to a mortgage broker — the optional broker link takes you directly to the broker's own website.
